EGA Retreat and Pirate Ship

Last weekend I had the honor to be a teacher at the Carolinas Region EGA Fall Retreat in Rock Hill, SC. Actually, there was not much teaching since the students really knew more about beading than I do. I shared a project that members can use for their own chapters. It's a button necklace patterned after one my Grandmother made in the 1970's. Unfortunately, my camera battery ran out before I could get pictures to share, but I'll take a picture of the necklace and post it soon. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend with friends and actually had some stitching time of my own.

My friend Angie continues to be busy with pieces to finish. She stitched this Sue Hillis design and I finished it to look like a sail. Bob cut the little boat shaped stand for it.
