I am always amazed at how my blogging friends stitch so many smalls.  I love smalls and I find great patterns all the time.  I guess I'm in the habit of planning small projects as if they were major projects and therefore never getting around to them.  Lately I fell in love with a couple charts and instead of saying "gee, maybe I'll add these to my list", I decided to just stitch them!  I had all the materials in my stash and it sure was refreshing to stitch something from start to finish before getting tired of it:)

This first one is a freebie from Windy Willows called "A Fox Among The Purple Flowers".  The little fox is so cute and sly looking and I love the purples.  The fabric is a 40 ct from a Lakeside Linens sample pack.  It's so tiny, I think it will make a great pinkeep.

This next picture is from the scanner.  The colors show up much better.

Next is "Red and Blue Houses" from The Gift of Stitching February issue.  This one was really fun to stitch.

I found these pictures taken on the 2nd day of our recent "snow storm" and not uploaded yet due to the power outage.  This is what the yard looked like when I woke up.  Talk about feeling closed in!  It was pretty weird.

At least I can report that all our gas logs are working beautifully now.  I feel prepared in case this happens again!

Hope you're all staying warm and stitching lots!

These are both just beautiful and prove just because it's small doesn't mean it can't be a masterpiece! I have had the white fox pattern printed out for awhile, but haven't stitched it. After seeing yours I definitely need to do this one day!

Two lovely finishes! I like stitching smalls as in-between pieces when I'm working on something larger. I hope you don't lose your power again. That looks sooooo cold!

I love your smalls! I am guilty of the same thing--planning out small stitching as if it's a big thing, and then never getting to it. I've resolved to change that this year, but have yet to do so. I love what you chose to do!

Beautiful snow storm pictures!

I mostly only stitch smalls. It's the biggies I have trouble starting.
Your pieces are lovely.

We've had our share of snow this year too like everyone. Expecting big wind storms today!

Your two little finished projects are really lovely! I'm like Annie - I have trouble starting (and finishing) big projects. But like you, I am amazed at the number of smalls that our blogging friends achieve. I wish I could be so fast!
Those photos of the snow are unbelievable - I just cannot imagine that much snow outside of the Arctic/Antarctic Circles!

How great is it to start and finish great designs? That's why I think I do more smalls than anything else - immediate gratification??

Both pieces are lovely! And congrats on TWO finishes! I like throwing in a small here and there...they make me feel like I have accomplished something! Look forward to seeing what they will turn into...
